Before the Tavern
Spot Illustrations
Created for Before the Tavern, a book of 100 character concepts for tabletop role-playing games, this project challenged me to develop consistent, square-format spot illustrations that matched a wide range of fantasy and sci-fi genres—from high fantasy to noir to outer space. I created one illustration per character, focusing on capturing individual backstories while maintaining a cohesive style across the entire set.

All illustrations were hand-drawn in Procreate using a consistent brush and canvas setup for visual unity. Final formatting and delivery were handled in Adobe Creative Suite to ensure publication quality.
